Mark Forry

I’m 71, recently retired (Feb 2023) from a career in IT as a technical writer. I’m in the process of returning to a deeper engagement with music as an amateur pianist (self-assessment: ToneBase Level 6). I’m also a singer; I accompany myself on sing-along guitar for English-language pop and folk songs, and I’ve been singing music from Eastern Europe (mostly Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia, and Hungary) for many years. In addition, I’m an ethnomusicologist with an interest in those areas. I’m originally from California, now living in southern Hungary, moving next year to Istria (NW Croatia).
