Twice a week between April 17 - 24 I hope to be reading your daily updates in this very thread right here!
Here is this week's assignment!
1. Pick a Piece of Tchaikovsky to study and let us know!
Check here for suggested repertoire pieces
3. Optional for Everyone: Listen to some of Tchaikovsky's non-piano music (example: Symphonies) and let us know your favorites!
Let me help you get started!

This is my favorite symphony by Tchaikovsky! His final: #6. If you don't know it, I HIGHLY encourage you to check it out!

1. I would like to learn "March" as I've tried to play June a few years ago. I must say that June is still one of my personal favorites. (However, need to practice more: https://youtu.be/-rS4XWg-wtk)
3. My favorite non-piano piece byTchaikovsky: I was going to put Violin Concerto in D Major, which is awesome but then I came to think about this:

Seeing this on the last day of Week 1 - that has to be a sign, right? Let's do it. This challenge would have been the perfect motivation to tackle the Variations in F Op. 19 No. 6 (see Andrei Gavrilov's recording below - one of my favorite performances of Russian piano music ever), but those can't be learned in two weeks. So I'll work on "August" from The Seasons instead. Looking forward to hearing everyone's music!
