Seeking Viennese elegance in Schubert's Valses Sentimentales
My general goal for 2022 was to become a better learner i.e., to focus on the process of learning rather than obsessing about the product. For this reason, I chose the Valses Sentimentales (how many? We'll see!) for this challenge.
I would like to play these waltzes with all of the grace and sense of courtship I can muster. Apologies for the splice: for now, I can't seem to remember what exactly belongs to which waltz - it's all too fresh.
I can't wait to learn the next few and post again. These pieces are pure joy!
