Re: Grand Piano for Gifted 6-Year-Old (Kawai GL or GX?)
I'll start right off stating that I am a full on Yamaha fan since the the X-series was introduced. Yamahas now have a balanced fundamental and wonderful transitions section to section from the top to…

Re: Digital piano vs acoustic grand piano (Knabi 6' 11”)

Re: Shopping for a digital piano
The Casio PX-S6000 along with Yamaha’s P-525 and Montage6 are models I’m familiar with and enjoyed playing. Make sure you get 88 notes. I couldn’t play on a shorter keyboard and I’m not a good player.

I’ve tuned pianos for over 35 yrs. I have no problem with players tuning unisons and octaves on privately owned (home) pianos. My big concern is to ask permission before touching a piano you don’t…

Nelson Freire I’m not sure why he wasn’t more famous. Guess he didn’t travel as much as other great pianist. He passed around a year ago.

For me, nothing beats a live performance. So from the many recordings I’ve listened to over the years, the person I would have go out of my way hear is Rachmaninov.
