2024 Tonebase Piano Camp Questions
It's really exciting that the team is hosting the inaugural 2024 tonebase Piano Camp at Adamant Music School in August. Thank you for organizing what, I trust, will be a fantastic experience! If we have questions about the camp, may we ask them here?

I too am uncertain if I will have enough time to attend all ten days. If I sign up for the full camp but need to make a choice for a five day option, do I move back to the wait list or lose my spot completely?

Wenona McCormick I see that you made your deposit! You won't entirely lose your spot, but the sooner you let us know what option you decide, the more time we would have to place you in your preference!

Dominic, what books or composers' books do i have to bring to the camp if i would like to attend all masterclass and private lessons with different pianist ?

Yolanda You simply need to bring your copy of music that you are playing! The music can be paper or on an iPad.

Dominic; How many private lesson with a same teacher or different teachers included in this camp ten days / or 5 days session? And how many masterclasses included in this camp ( full or 5 days half session) ? thanks

Each Session at the camp, you will receive:3 private lessons
5 masterclasses/workshops
Every day has a masterclass or a workshop. Signing up to play is an option for everyone!
For Private lessons we can take teacher requests and do the best of our ability to allow everyone to play for the teacher of their choosing!

i have an I pad so i can access wi fi there to access some music score online ?

Dominic, Is there a self -serve kitchen that allow people to cook their own bring food such as instant noodles sometimes ?

Yes there is wifi throughout the school, so you can access any scores you would like online!
There is also an on-site music library.
And in one of the residences there is a self-serve kitchen.
The Dining hall also has self-serve options such as a microwave, kettle, that you can use to make instant noodles or whatever you like.

How will we know whether we have a slot for the camp?
If you've taken our deposit, is that an indication? Or will there be an email notification at some time?
It's not too early to plan time off from work and travel arrangements.

says "once we receive your $500 deposit, you are confirmed!"
But based on other comments in this forum I'd guessed that might not be strictly accurate.

Jane Fleming My pleasure! You're right: that statement was before we received a surprisingly large number of signups. We weren't expecting to sell out the camp, so we've had to adjust the deposit procedure.

Noah Hardaway I jumped the gun then. Once the $500 deposit hit I purchased a non-refundable flight to Burlington. My fingers are now fully crossed hoping that I get in!!!

Do you have an idea when will be a confirmation for the slot for the camp? We are checking the flight or transit / work absent to there so we need time to plan all these things a head of time to see if we can make it work. How is the weather in there if we come in august ?
