Juan Carlos Olite I have a really interesting fingering for the Goldberg Variations that I got from a friend.  If I can find it, I will scan it and post it for the group.  However, we moved a few months ago...and I can't seem to find ANYTHING.  (I just discovered my bicycle shoes in a box with shampoo...).

Juan Carlos Olite PS:  Is your city of Zaragoza near Barcelona?  I had the pleasure of spending 2 weeks there a few years ago because we had a client nearby.

Sindre Skarelven I'm going to start it when I get back home at the end of the month.  I have to travel a bit for some meetings first!  Good thing we don't have a community challenge next week, otherwise I couldn't work on that.

Gail Starr Well, Zaragoza is right in the middle between Barcelona (300km) and Madrid (320km). So, a bit far from both cities. It is neither as interesting as Madrid nor as lively as Barcelona, but it's a nice place...

Juan Carlos Olite Well, as long as you can travel to Barcelona when you have time to attend excellent concerts, then that is totally fine.  Hopefully, it is less expensive than either big city, too!

We used to live in New York City, and it became too expensive, so we left.  I miss it alot!

Susan Let's work on a few of them together.  If you look at the thread above, I sent Juan Carlos a document that has useful fingering from Paul Barton.

    • Gail Starr  Will you memorize if you learn ALL the Goldberg variations and could I join in if only to listen to everyone ? Paul Barton has been a great inspiration to me too !

Gail Starr I would love to join the Goldberg Group if that's okay! How about looking through the music and choosing a few - three or four - variations that we might like to start with? Some variations are both cute and offer a lot of latitude in terms of interpretation: 4, 7, 13, 18, 22, 28, 29 are among my favourites.

Monika Tusnady Do we have a Goldberg Group? I didn't know it... 馃 I have simply thanked Gail for her document with the fingerings.  Well, we will have a new community challenge next week, it won't be a lot of work?  I don麓t have much time...

Anyway, ok, choose two o three variations to start little by little..., and you will tell us.

Monika Tusnady I love these variations!  I just started a new Goldberg thread under "General Topics".  Let's see who else might want to join us on these.

Juan Carlos Olite I just started a "Goldberg Variations" thread under General Topics.  We can all pick our favorite variation for the group to learn, perhaps?
