READ ME and FAQ: Unfinished Business Challenge

WELCOME TO OUR LATEST TONEBASE PIANO COMMUNITY PRACTICE CHALLENGE:

Unfinished Business Challenge!

We all have pieces that we studied in the past but for one reason or other, we didn't finish them. Let's all join together in the next month to motivate each other to finally see the learning process through!

You could pick a piece that you started learning, one that you ALMOST finished learning, or even one that you have performed, but have nagging thoughts or changes you would like to make!

When does this take place?

Challenge start: July 31

Challenge days: July 31 - August 26

OPTIONAL:

Play on the "Back to School" Recital LIVE or submit a recording!
https://piano-community.tonebase.co/t/m1h99ja/back-to-school-recital

August 26th at 11am PT

HOW TO START:

1. Pick your piece

2. Write what you didn't "finish" and what your goal is for this challenge!

SUGGESTED REPERTOIRE:

Anything! Pick literally any piece you like!

Why are we doing this?

Because we want to challenge ourselves to practice every day
Because learning together is more fun than learning alone
Because we get to share our progress with others (whether video or just text)
Because new music is wonderful and these pieces were written especially for us!
Because we want to meet our fellow tonebase community members
Because we get to hear new music which we might not play ourselves

  • Is it still possible to participate in this challenge? If yes, then I would want to join with the Polonaise-Fantaisie Op 61 by Chopin. I put that piece aside in January this year, and wanted to start working again on it end of September.
