Embarrassing tech question re embedding video links
Hi, This is embarrassing to even ask. Whenever I embed a link in a post, it leaves a ton of extra space because the preview of the post shows that a videoclip is also included below the link. The published post itself doesn't show the clip and only shows the link but the post has tons of space below. I seem to be the only one doing this and wanted to see if anyone has tips for how to prevent all that extra space.

Michelle R So kind of you. I haven't figured it out. Inserting a link (using the link icon) still generates a bunch of extra space below the link. I would grateful if you would just briefly describe how you post links.

Helen Lee Here's what I do, and I'll do it right now and see what happens.
Lately, I've been copying and pasting my links directly, like this:
https://youtu.be/UowwMs-F1II?si=QWmeVDLwWT39yn0g
What I used to do is use the "add video" icon, entering the link into the query box, which looks like this (let's see what happens when I save):

Hmmmm....not sure that was much help. Why don't you try it here and we'll see if we can troubleshoot?

Without using that "Link" icon, I just copied and pasted here. I think that's the way to go to avoid creating all that space between the links.
I'll do that from now on rather than using the icon below (which puts all that extra space below the link). Thanks so much for being kind and helping me!
