Here is where my piece, the Spindler "Song without Words," is today (10 days in). I'm still working on the pedaling, and there are a few little mis-steps, but I'm happy with my progress so far!

Here is my final submission: Fritz Spindler's "Song without Words."

Dominic Cheli Should we post our final videos here, or is there a different place? In any event, I learned a lot and think I improved quite a bit even from just a few days ago, especially since I've had this piece just two weeks - one big thing I learned is that I need to video-record myself more often. I have hyper-mobility issues, and seeing what I'm doing when I play is instructive since what I feel is often quite different from the reality.

I focused mostly on pedaling and tempo for this piece.

  • Thanks Tonebase for letting me keep focus on practicing.

It is a challenge to start Schumann Kreisleriana this beautiful piece with this particular movement. It requires the whole body to maintain relaxation in order to produce the sound. The challenge includes the articulation and evenness. I also try to play out the melody line instead of just banging especially in A section.
