@Marcia Richards It can be helpful to see their fingerings and technique. I have done courses where they don't really say which fingering they use for something and never show, either.

@Michelle R Liszt also composed very short Album Leaves, and some things from Weihnachtsbaum are easy (it isn't Christmas, though). Nuages Gris is odd, but it may not be too hard.…

@Ken Radford I am not very good at any form of improvisation. I do like to try to identify how composers applied different rules and concepts and occasionally mimic/"forge" them.
