Hi. I am interested in discussing the practice for advanced pianists who don't perform regularly. As I started teaching I find it difficult to constantly keep polishing advanced repertoire. Maybe you can add some info in this regard. Because even though I teach others it's really difficult to teach myself , esp on the daily basis. Thank you

Hello. I'd like to hear about strategies to learn faster and to forget slower. I am 65 now, a passionate amateur pianist, my level is lower intermediate. I had 3 teachers so far, but neither of them fulfilled my expectations, so currently I teach myself with the help of Tonebase and other online resources. Thank you.

Engelbert Mayer thanks for posting!. My situation is similar. Started studying piano later in life. 62 now. Am working with a very experienced teacher, however, her expectations are low and their are many gaps in what she teaches (for example, no time spent on technique or theory). Am looking to the lectures on Tonebase to fill in the gaps. And also for inspiration.

Conrad Winn me too and I’m 77. Use a teacher for what they can do and fill in with tonebase I use my teacher to play for and pick up a few ideas. Good luck.
