Starting August 31st join pianist Jarred Dunn for a focused two-week intensive designed to deepen your understanding of the Classical sonata.
Across two weeks, you’ll explore the style, structure, sound, and musical language that define this repertoire, with a new assignment each week to help you put those ideas into practice.
This intensive is a chance to level up your knowledge of Classical sonatas, sharpen your listening, strengthen your interpretation, and develop a more confident approach to this repertoire.
Whether you’re currently learning a sonata or simply want to understand Classical style on a deeper level, you’re welcome to take part.

I have started Beethoven sonata 27 opus 90 some weeks ago.
But I may not attend these lessons.
If someone is able to analyse a Beethoven sonata, works 2 weeks and is able to get something “correct” enough to record it (as mentionned in the email) then he/she may be at a better place on the other side of the screen.

I did the Tonebase Guided Practice on the First Movement of the Moonlight Sonata, which was really worthwhile and was then added to my practice schedule (four days on, four days off, for six repetitions then a fortnight's rest then repeat the four day patterns, then three months rest, then repeat, etc.). This TWI has arrived at the point that the First Movement is being rested so it would be good to start the Second Movement.
I am also going to use this time to learn more about the Taubman approach, as I have dibbed in and out for some time with the intention of being more diligent at some point, which is now.
