Hello Everyone!

We have some amazing composers among us, so I thought it would be fantastic to create a forum section where we can share our pieces, ideas, and inspiration with each other!

Whether you’re eager to share your own compositions or explore the work of your fellow tonebase friends, this is the perfect place for you!

Oh, this is neat.  I've been doing some composing lately.  I'll post a thread.

Hi Dominic Cheli . Good to see the new Composer’s Corner. I would love to see an Improviser’s Corner, and I would certainly be a regular contributor.

    Can you make this happen?

    Thanks

    ken

    Hi there!

This is my first composition: a pizza-inspired boogie-woogie.

I composed it during a TWI on composition here on Tonebase.

    Ciao! 🌞😎✌🏻

Letizia that's definitely not a piece of cake! What a happy piece of music, and incredible performance. I'm a vegan, and it had even my mouth watering. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

Hi. I have just started composing my own pieces, and this is my Fantasy on the famous "Flowers". I wanted it to be rather like Paraphrases by Listz than "a cover".  So I added my own episodes and modulations:)  looking forward for your comments as it's my second creation and I am definitely out of my comfort zone 👍

Hello. I'm excited about belonging to a Composers Forum. So this is my first go at a folk type tune. I did it after attending the Canberra Folk Festival last year. Note: The chord symbols were added after writing the piece. In many instances there is more than one choice of chord possible. Some small adjustments to the base line were made after writing in the chords. The piece is intended to be played on folk instruments, such as bouzouki and bass guitar. I have sent it to some bands, with no success as of yet. I can play accordion and flute so I might get a performance that way 😊 Attached are (1) The first 2 lines of the score (2) The audio generated by the score. The structure is A . B . C . A . Coda.

gregprochlin I decided that the computer-generated audio does not do justice to the piece, so I have now played it in on the piano. See below. Interestingly-enough, the process of learning how to play, and at the same time devising fingering, resulted in quite a few improvements to the score. —There must be a moral there ...
