Thank you. This was really a nice challange and I am now back on Hanon 10-15min a day and the rest I need for my piece(s).
How much time do you have to practice a day?

      Thanks. Yours is well too.
I think short groupings (2) really fast will bring you in a faster tempo. 👍

  • Your welcome, I am playing 2 to 3 hours if lucky, I usually wake up at 5am and practice. This two week intense has been very beneficial to me as well. I am working on the hanon as well. Getting back to the basics really does make a difference.

Hi Gary! That’s great. 2-3hours is good. That’s the same like me. I have to get up at 5am, because I have a job in the morning from

6-9:30 and than I have a break and can practice 1 hour. And than I have another job and can practice 1 hour in the evening. For those pieces we want to play it is needed. I wish you a great time with Chopin Ballade 1. I have fun with the Scherzo 2. Have a nice week. 🙋‍♀️

    • Kerstin There is no way around it for playing these pieces, very well worthwhile putting in the time. I enjoy the process, this two week intensive has been very beneficial for me.

  • Here is my c major scale, my goal was to make it smooth and relaxed. What I am finding is, I am getting a better sense of tone quality, I have a long was to go, but enjoy the process

Gary Hamer I’d try to pay attention putting the same weight on every note, and playing your hands more together in the backward scale.

      Keep on your early exercise!😄
