Performing from the score: Tips/advice for the best results!
Many of us have been told that in order to have a great performance we should memorize our pieces. But what if our busy schedules don't permit us enough time to do that? Or maybe we want to play ALOT of repertoire rather than just one piece. Perhaps even, we have anxiety due to the fear of memory slips. FEAR NOT! It is possible to have a GREAT performance with a score in front of us! But, certain considerations have to be made when using a score, so lets talk about tips/tricks/advice to give your best performance from any stage!
