Our Watch Party has been re-scheduled for this upcoming Monday at 11am PT!
It’s sharing time! Drop your recording below so we can cheer you on at the Chopin Watch Party — happening Monday October 20th!
What to Post
A video of your Chopin piece — polished, messy, dramatic, cautious... all versions welcome.
Write what you worked on this week — tone, voicing, octaves, courage, not throwing the score across the room, etc... 😄
Deadline
Please post by Tuesday, Oct 15th at 9:00 AM PT so I have time to build a playlist worthy of Chopin and popcorn.

Hi all
here is my submission for the Chopin challenge
Nocturne in C# minor op 27 no 1
my main challenge was not to be intimidated when pressing the record button!!
this piece is like a mini ballade, it has the nocturne element as well as a stormy middle section which includes a mini polonaise and there is a mini barcarolle towards the end .
really enjoyed working on this , still have some work to do emphasising the range of dynamicsI didn’t get around to doing the chords analysis, I was incredibly impressed by everyone’s work on this
I definitely need to do it !

Here is my attempt to record Etude 10/4 ... it's the best I can do for today and I don't think I will have time to retake before the deadline.
It's very far from good - quite sloppy tbh. I really should have checked with the metronome at the beginning as I was going a tad too fast to keep everything together ( lesson noted for next time ... better slower and steadier ). This was my last attempt and at this point I had been going at it for about 50mins already; my fingers and my mind were definitely going. Though a plus point comparing to 3 weeks ago is that my hands and arms are feeling pretty ok ... so a little pat on the back on removing those tension 🙂

Hello everyone!
I haven’t been really active in the previous weeks, but anyway here comes the Nocturne Op. 15 No. 2 where it is standing at this point.
I promise I did harmonic analysis and structural analysis (in this case we have ABA1 form, I believe English term would be “ternary form”?) long time ago, this is something I am regularly required to do by my professor, but it was so useful to hear some really good tips - thank you, dr. Kim!
