Dominic Cheli Not a problem!  The sound was great on my iPhone (although any graphics you showed were quite tiny, LOL).  Have a great weekend.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for an excellent session. The checklist of things to mark up is so helpful to somebody pretty new to analysis. So you do iPad (hoping to get the big one) Apple Pencil and For Score?

Stephanie Tingley If I can't help, I'll try to find someone who can!  My iPad isn't in great shape, so I've actually been printing out paper music from IMSLP. Kind of going backwards in technology for the moment until I can get a new iPad...LOL!

    • Gail Starr I get it! The 12.9 iPad Pros are very pricey but seems like that is best. I have a 9.7 iPad Pro and it has to shrink the score page size which isn’t helpful. Do you have a Bluetooth page turner? I have an Apple Pencil and purchased ForScore so a start.

Stephanie Tingley I have the pricey 12.9, but it is one of the original ones, so the screen is causing me problems.  I use a FireFly bluetooth page turner, but I'm not very good at it so it sometimes turns 2 pages at once.  Plus, I'm scared to use it for chamber music with repeats because sometimes it goes backwards too many pages.

I clearly need to update ALL my technology. Sigh.

    • Gail Starr yes my tech budget needs to be much bigger. I need a new iPad but the biggest seems so big for other uses. I’ve read that buying one that is a couple of generations back can be fine for music. Cant buy two iPads lol. Haven’t played with forscore much but like the idea of annotating on screen. Gonna play around with my smaller iPad a bit to see how it works and whether the tech is good for me to invest in.

    • Stephanie Tingley I have the 10.9 inch ipad air (plus apple pen) and occasionally use it to practice/take notes.  I got this instead of the bigger one bc it is a lot lighter and easier to carry around. Bigger size would be much closer to real paper but this size hasn’t been that bad. I use the forscore app and henle app (you can put this music in forscore as well).

    • Vidhya Bashyam thanks for reaching out! I have the 9.7 iPad Pro it is getting old. Will test ForScore on it to see if it would work well enough. The 12.9 is so pricey and would be heavy like you say. I have an Apple Pencil already.  Do you have a Bluetooth page turner? Those look interesting but….Stephanie

    • Stephanie Tingley No, I don’t have the bluetooth page turner mainly because I still mainly use paper.   I just “turn the pages” on ForScore manually for now. However, I if you can figure out the coordination, the page turner seems like a great idea.

Vidhya Bashyam I'm SOOOO bad it using my FireFly.  UGH.  It has a mind of its own.  But, then again, like ALL my tech it's probably first generation...
