Hi all, I'm currently practicing Chopin Ballades (No 1 and 4), some Nocturnes and some Beethoven Sonatas. My schedule is unfortunately quite tight right now. I wish I had more time to practice the piano.
Love that Ballade!! Great choice. Keep up the awesome work!
Brother Will Green Many Thanks! Yes, it's an amazing piece of music.
Veldig bra! Du har kommet langt med denne! En av mine favoritter ogs氓
Sindre Skarelven Mange takk, Sindre!
Yay! Thank you for sharing your progress!
Susan Many thanks!
Practicing part 1 of Ballade no 4.
Reposting the link to part 2:
Jarkko Janhunen Beautiful phrasing!! The timing in the middle section development is tough but you pull it off with finesse and a warm tone. BRAVO Can鈥檛 wait to hear this in one of our concerts :)
Brother Will Green Many thanks! Yeah, there are plenty of difficult syncopations and tricky passages in the middle section. I will need to sort those out and gain more confidence for the whole piece before I can consider a live performance. Maybe some day?
Jarkko Janhunen Beautiful playing! Thank you for sharing! You are a great inspiration for me! I attempted the beginning section before but didn't carry through. I may pick it up in the near future.
Serena Many thanks! Yeah, you should. It feels very rewarding to get through.
Great to discover Schubert. Unfortunately I haven't really played his music. I start out with this Serenade:
Jarkko Janhunen Love it!!!
Many thanks Brother Will
Jarkko Janhunen beautiful and peaceful
Many thanks, Susan!
I have been working on Finlandia op 26/7 by Sibelius lately. The piece has lots of difficult killer jumps but it's very fun to play. I hope to master it some day.
Jarkko Janhunen Love this piece :) Congrats. Its beautiful.
Many thanks, Brother Will!
Jarkko Janhunen wonderful, great job! Thanks for sharing.
Susan Rogers Thanks!
'Nothing wrong with trying pieces above one's "pay grade." In my book, if you like the piece, you will be motivated to complete it.
Practicing Beethoven now.
Jarkko Janhunen that sounds very nice! You're inspiring me to want to learn this sonata too :)
Jarkko Janhunen Beautiful playing! It's a great sonata, and movement.
