Thurmond's Compositions
I am just beginning to write down my compositions (heretofore I have just kept them in my head). I know there are some technical things I need to learn about engraving, so expect some errors or just oddities! Thanks for looking at and possibly playing my pieces.

Here is the piece I entered in the MTNA composition competition, "Sarabande". This is the piece I played at the last Community Concert, too. I already know there is something I need to fix - you'll probably see it, too!

One of Thurmond's recent compositions won first place in his age group in our state music teacher association's "Young Composer's Project," and he has been invited to perform at the state conference in June. Here is a recording of the piece. If anyone is interested in the score (once he's done some adjustments), please let me know.

Here is Thurmond's recording from the State Music Teachers Conference. Thurmond was happily surprised to find a Bosendorfer on stage, and fell in love at first touch. Since the end of his composition has a direction of "cadenza ad libitum" he enjoyed being able to use the extra keys provided by the Bosendorfer!!
