Fall Fast-Track
Hi everyone,
hopefully this is the right place to ask a couple of questions related to the Fast Track Program. If not, please feel free to delete/move etc.
I have been looking for something like this program, but I would want to make the most of it and have some concerns regarding scheduling:
- when is the onboarding starting/ending? I have to travel Oct 2nd to 6th and while perfectly fine with doing a session before, I am worried about having to miss half of my first week of practice.
- will the onboarding include playing? I am in the Central European Timezone
and have young kids, so it might be tricky because of the time lag to play in the evening
- do we have to choose a selection of pieces to pick from or can we also get suggestions based on our skills and goals?
Apologies, if those questions are a bit specific and superfluous.
Best

Hi Nadja !
The onboarding occurs on a rolling basis. For example you might choose to signup for the fast track program and start after your travels! I know that the available dates in the form link only go up until the 6th, but I will be updating availability for next series of dates soon.
The onboarding does not need to include playing - ideally before the onboarding you can provide a short video showing your playing so that your mentor can assess your general level and know what to talk about most!
You can choose your pieces, or you can get suggestions, or both! Some people have very specific goals and pieces they want to play. Some just want to start from scratch with a new piece suggested by coach!
I hope this helps. These 90 days start from when your onboarding call happens, whenever that might be!

Hi Dominic.
Congratulations to you and Martin for developing this brilliant program! It leverages so well the tools of shared computer logging, the flexibility of written, recorded video communication and live interactions to make learning and teaching a constant, gradual process rather than a series of isolated, hyper-concentrated remote interactions.
I’m considering it in place of seeking out routine zoom lessons. May I ask some (apologetically redundant) questions?
My most reliable 90 day stretch is quite far in the future, next June-July-August. When would be the best time to enroll for such a distant timeframe?
My current goal is to learn/refine injury-free piano technique (probably with Taubman-like elements), as applied to repertoire of intermediate (~level 7) difficulty. Are there specific mentors who might be particularly interested in such a pedagogical mission?
Would having the ability to place a camera above the keyboard, showing my hands, be mission-critical?
Thanks!
