The live session will be at 11:00pm in the UK so I might forego the live session and listen to Gwendolyn on catch-up.

I wrote earlier that I might attend due to the late time, which I thought was on Thursday as I received an email at 10pm today. However, the TB website is showing that this session will take place tomorrow, on Friday, so that later time is less of a problem as it’s followed by the weekend!

My strategy — for better or worse — is to try and keep things in perspective, and to think "so what if I make a mistake? It's bound to happen!". Not sure if this is a healthy approach, but it has helped. Also, my anxiety level is usually correlated to how high/low one perceives the stakes to be. Luckily as an adult amateur, it helps that the stakes are usually low to non-existent other than a blow to the ego! It would be very different if one were playing in a competition, though.

I'm getting better at dealing w performance nervousness. As adult amateur, my audience is very kind and relaxed. They are there to support. I inflicted anxiety upon myself, and being judgmental of myself. I try to perform as much as I can, for family, friends or anyone who cares to listen. That's how I am improving a little by little...

Thank you for having a session on this very important subject, Dominic and Gwendolyn Mok ! Could you post the links Gwen are mentioning here on the forum-page?
Unfortunately, I'm occupied with another gig on the next community concert, but will work on these technics until the next session, 15.aug.
