Since 2021, pianist (and athlete) Dominic Cheli has been Live Director of Tonebase Piano. He’s joining the Paderewski Competition Studio to talk about community outreach and performance training. The interview will be jointly streamed on Tonebase and Paderewski channels!

This is extremely interesting! I loved hearing Dominic say that his focus in competitions is not only winning, but sharing. That is a very healthy approach. "Showing the beauty" of the music is palpable. What a gracious, giving approach to the pianist-audience relationship: the pianist as host to "take care of the audience."
Next time there is an opportunity to ask questions, I would like to know more about Dominic's athletic pursuits. How pursuing fitness impacts musicianship/artistry. Does Dominic have any analogies between music and athletics? I know I have heard some in his lessons. I would be very interested to hear more.
