Join Dominic Cheli and David Chang for a powerful livestream on performance confidence anytime, anywhere. Between the two of them, they’ve performed in concert halls around the world, on public pianos across New York, Japan, Paris, and London, on an island in Greece, and in the middle of Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station.

But this isn’t just about big stages. It’s about having the power to sit down and play when you visit a friend’s house, when someone drops by unexpectedly, or when you stumble across a random piano / performance situation - even if you haven’t practiced, even if you’ve been traveling, even when conditions are very difficult…

You’ll hear the real strategies they use to stay ready for anything, and you’ll leave with practical tools to build true performance freedom.

This is a great topic. It's definitely a problem — we amateur pianists almost never have anything we can play readily on the spot, anytime, and from memory!

Travelling back from London to the Isle of Wight. On the ferry across the Solent, which was delayed to assist three people. This means we’ll miss our train connection along with anyone else aiming to make that connection. The purpose of the train is to connect to the ferry!

I find myself not nervous initially to perform in front of people. But what I find happens is when I inevitably make a mistake, my nerves sky rocket and my hands begin to shake. Do you have advice for this sort of reaction?

Not meant to be insulting, but have you considered the possibility of not taking yourself so seriously? As it is said by many musicians, learn to repeat the mantra while playing, "only the good notes count."
