    Hi Dominic,

Thank you very much for your advice, they certainly helped me a lot. Unfortunately I'm living in a different time zone and therefore can't attend the live session but I always watch it afterwards!

Attached are the scores of Liszt Spanish Rhapsody. The circle parts are the passages that I found difficult to play well. I struggled with coordination and accuracy, especially when I play fast. My arms tense up a lot when I play them. I wonder if the fingerings have anything to do with that too?

    Thanks a lot again!

aliceyip Maybe you could write out a few of the fingerings that you are currently using, and we can see if we might have an alternative that we could suggest?  I am sure my fingers would freeze up in this piece, too!

I haven't tried it yet, but that might mean I could have a fresh idea of fingerings.

Had a question on the best way to practice the minor key scales.  Think because I have the major key fingering rules so hard coded, that it trips me up in the minor keys.  Need to resist the reflex to play the Bb with the 4th finger on my right hand with the G minor scale, for example.

    Hello

    I really appreciate your lectures.

I wonder if you can give advices to me upon Chopin Etude op25 no6 fingerings.

Please let me know the easiest fingerings.

    Appreciate it.

    • Ko I quite like the fingerings of the Henle edition of the Etudes.  YMMV of course.

Thank you for the LiveStream today, Dominic! I am always impressed with the way your communicate in a clear and interesting way! I learned a lot today!

    Syncing hands up!

Limiting speed - in particular situations - can support greater control.

Thank you for the questions, everybody! It helps everyone move forward!
