Week 2: Beethoven in Focus “Mastering a Passage”

Welcome to Week 2!
Goal: Work on a challenging excerpt or section of your Beethoven piece.
- Challenge: Pick a passage from a Beethoven piece you admire (or struggle with!) and aim to master it by the end of the week. Whether it’s a movement or entire piece, break it down into smaller sections
- Practice: Focus on technical aspects like fingering, articulation, and phrasing. Consider using a metronome to gradually increase tempo.
Share with us your progress from "day 1" to the end of the week! Let's get focused this week!

Oops, I continued working on my Sonata. Didn't see that goal.
I worked on some details, but there’s still room for improvement. I tried to shape everything into a cohesive form, which somewhat reduced the sense of freedom. Next time, I’ll try to better distinguish the sections to create more space and make it feel less chaotic.
Also, I thought the counter-melodies were present, but they got lost in the recording. :(
I also tried to come up with a more varied interpretation of the recurring section, but at a fast tempo, I can’t quite express everything I intended.
It’s really difficult for me to refine the details, so I’m not sure significant improvements can be made in a week. My plan is to make the rondo cleaner, showcase everything I want to convey, and check the tempos again since I tend to speed up during transitions.

Hey Everyone!
I'm a late beginner, and I've been practicing piano for over 2 years. Currently working on Beethoven's "Für Elise" — but I'm not quite there yet!
Check out my latest video, "Beethoven as My Piano Teacher? HILARIOUS Reactions While I Play Für Elise!" and let me know what you think!

Can anyone show me where I find the assignment for Week 3? Somehow I didn’t find it in the challenge section

Here’s what I’ve got at the end of week 3. Starting to come together—still need to tidy up a few areas (there are some tricky leaps here and there that need to sound easy) and think about contrasts and dynamics some more.
