My favorites change as I deep dive into their music in general and for solo piano in particular. My current favorite is Tchaikovsky. Check out his first symphony, which is rarely performed and Valentina Lisitsa’s recording of all of his solo piano works. Enjoy!

I wonder if a pianist’s age makes a difference. When I was young, Chopin was my hands-down favorite. Decades later, it was Bach, then Beethoven, then Brahms, then Moszkowski and now Tchaikovsky. 🤔
