Scarlatti Sonata K492 - mixing piano and harpsichord during recordings.
My main goal is to create piano recordings of my favorite pieces. I am creating several versions of the same piece using different methods. For my 1.01 versions I am mixing piano with harpsichord+strings during the repeats. As an example, this is Scarlatti Sonata K492. This was recorded in my living room with a Blue Yeti microphone. My 1.00 versions are using virtual instruments (without microphone).
I do plan on-camera recordings as well but those are more time-consuming to get a perfect playing on a given take. Requires memorization of the piece as well.

Brilliant! You played wonderfully, and the mix between piano and harpsichord+strings is seamless. what program do you use for the virtual instrument?

Qingzhi This particular recording was using an audio recording of my actual instrument. But my 1.00 versions of the Scarlatti sonatas I am using the EastWest Quantum Leap virtual pianos. Basically, I record to MIDI, then the MIDI is attached to the virtual piano and you bounce to an audio file without having to record anything. I use Logic Pro X as the sequencer.

Juan Carlos Olite I am building a custom website for all my recordings which will be easier to navigate than on my YouTube channel. It should be ready in about a week. It will be a place for all my present and future recordings of Scarlatti, Chopin, Schubert, Beethoven and Mozart. Which are the composers I am working on right now. I use this website as a music score stand as well (on a large Mac monitor), turning the pages using the middle pedal on the electric piano. Useful for my violin lessons too when I am doing duets with my violin teacher. The app will support WebMIDI and will continue to evolve as I get ideas.
