  • Hi everyone,
This is my Week 1 - progress update - the opening bars of the Valse - still just finding my feet in terms of tempo (and the notes) ... I find it tricky to stay in tempo with these ones so there will be lots of practice with metronome required before the next update I think!

Derek McConville You make this the perfect valse for summertime.  Nice, airy and lighthearted.  We're all on the "hands separately" train together this week!

Hi everyone! After some days of practicing I have to say, I need to change the piece. I can’t possibly finish the Scherzo until end of month. I habe a lot of unfinished pieces. I will finish Chopin Nocturne op 62/2. 🙋‍♀️

This middle part is not easy. I want to get it in a good tempo and without mistakes in the next 2 weeks. So I can play it for my friends. https://youtu.be/XLCDGqWqs3Q
This challenge is great. Push me forward. Thanks to all participants. 🙋‍♀️

  • Alexander Weymann Ursina Boehm Gail Starr thank you for your kind words & encouragement.  I have been working through this this past week and am already seeing and hearing some things that I never saw/heard the last time I “learned” this.  Gail Starr , yes, there is so much imagery in here.  I hope I can make that really evident in my playing.

I must admit, as I look at the line up of pieces, WOW!  I am so inadequate compared to others.  But, I am enjoying this process.  It has been a busy summer, and while I played regularly, I was not truly practicing.  This has brought me back to some serious practicing.  Thank you for this challenge.

Jennifer Mehta NO ONE is inadequate here at Tonebase!  We are here just to encourage and inspire each other.  You sound wonderful!
