The stage is all yours and with this private livestream we get acquainted with our virtual concert hall!
Answer via a reply to this thread in order to reserve a spot with the piece and its approx. duration. The choice of repertoire is totally up to you! You want to play a waltz or piece from the last Brahms/Holiday community challenges? A piece you've recently worked on for a virtual masterclass? Or something completely different? Let us know!
WHAT DO I NEED?
We are going to use ZOOM (âclick to download) for the tonebase Community Concert. In order to have the best audio quality, you can activate the option to Preserve Original Sound, here you find the documentation on how to activate that. It's best to use headphones with when the Original Audio Option is enabled.

We will have a short meeting on the usual livestream before I will send you a PRIVATE zoom meeting link! Then we will all go there and have the dress rehearsal. I am projecting the entire event to be around an hour long.

Hi Hilda and Dominic! I am not sure if my microphone (Shure mv88) will work with Zoom. I am trying to prove it with the iPad, but I think it doesn't work...

Hi Juan Carlos. I donât know if this will help but I recently had a similar issue using an external mic when I started Zoom lessons. The first thing I found was I needed to plug in the mic before opening Zoom for it to be recognised. Secondly, the mic cuts out the onboard iPad speakers so I couldnât hear the teacher. This can be resolved by connecting an external speaker, either via cable or Bluetooth. There is a Bluetooth button visible on the screen when using Zoom to achieve this. You could alternatively use headphones but, depending on the type, this may interfere with hearing yourself play. I experimented with the options by setting up a Zoom meeting between my iPad and iPhone. I hope this helps. Good luck. Greg -

As I wrote to Dominic, I will be a bit late today. I do hope to be there by 11:30am. If it happens that I have not made it by the time that I am to play and because of that I am unable to play at this Community Concert, no problem! I'll still be there to watch and hear everyone else :)

AWESOME JOB today everyone! I know that we are getting out of our comfort zones, but everyone was so great in being flexible and working to get the best sound and video out of zoom!

Great! We will set up a zoom meeting when you can confirm that you get the microphones! If you are curious to double check the microphone before buying, feel free to send me the item name you are looking at. Just make sure you are getting a USB microphone! NOT an XLR microphone!
