At-a-glance facts:
April 1, 1873 - March 28, 1943 - Born in Semyonovo, near Novgorod, Russia and died in Beverly Hills, California (age 69)
He left Russia with his wife and daughters (ages 14 and 10), and traveled to Stockholm in December of 1917. He never returned to his home country. They sailed to America in November, 1918.
