Dear Mr. Kobrin, If any, what or which exercises or etudes would you recommend before working on the Rachmaninoff Etudes-Tableaux op 39 No. 1, 5 and 9? Thanks so much!

This was great! Really enjoyed Alexander Kobrin’s playing and detailed commentary with imagery/context/connections of the various pieces. Rachmaninoff’s music is truly magical. Just that one snippet of the G minor Etude Tableaux (op 33 no 8) in the context of “gloomy morning”…wow. Thanks for this wonderful livestream. Hope we have a Rach challenge month sometime soon.

martin Dominic Cheli When I open the link/page for this live-event, it says it hasn't started yet and there is no video running. Is there anything wrong with the video? Thanks.

I am new to this place. I joined about one month ago. I love Rachmaninoff’s music and I find missing having tutorials on more preludes and Etudes Tableaux.
Boris Giltburg’s vídeo about prelude in g minor changed the way i play it. I would like having similar results on Etude Tableaux op 33 no 4 in d minor and Op 39 no 9 which i can play but, with some difficulties and i would like to improve my playing.

You could request for tutorials on these to Dominic. It is a ver good idea.
Thank you.
