  • I think this is a brilliant topic. I play both classical guitar and piano and I also travel. Whilst I love travelling I miss playing and so it becomes a catch 22. So any advice on dealing with this frustration is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Hi! Dominic Cheli

For my travels I bought a Carry-on Folding piano: an electronic keyboard that folds into four parts and can be carried in its bag. It has a charger and a sostenuto pedal.

However, the keyboard is not weighted, the keys do not have the same depth as a piano and are too short: I cannot play a full chord on the black keys because my hand comes off the keyboard.

    My question is:

    1) what can I play on this instrument while I am traveling, considering the limitations?

    2) do you know of a better model of portable folding keyboard with a pedal?

    Ciao! 🌞😎✌🏻
