Cannot join live but will certainly watch the recorded session. I cannot imagine it is anything I can possibly learn even at the rudimentary level. Nevertheless I’m eagerly looking forward to the session!

In measures like 6-7 and 13-14 should you use the sostenuto pedal for the bass octave?

Thanks for the recorded workshop., I always thought of Chopin etudes as being way above my pay grade, but will have a go at this first one some time. (Just to note for future reference, fingering suggestions at 45:49, 53:50 and 1:02:02)

      • Have a growth mindset, no matter what!

Thank you for this recording. Wonderful teaching as always. There's so much in this one lesson for me to learn and practice, but unfortunately, I'll be away for the next fortnight. I'm looking forward to having this waiting for me when I get home!
