I'm sorry to have missed this, but I'm having trouble viewing the recording (no video controls show up for today's stream).  I did a try a few other past livestreams and those seemed ok.  I'll try again later...

    • Brett Gilbert Hey Brett! I am also having the same problem you are having. I will be trimming the “starting soon” clip so that there are only a few seconds of it before the video starts. I am sorry about the “skimming bar” not being available and will be looking into why it’s not visible here! Probably related to our vimeo hosting service. Will keep you updated on this!

Excellent LIVE stream today! I enjoyed learning about why there is so much "repetition" ... no "rewind" or "fast-forward" back then! And an opportunity to add variations. The explanation about the phrases/hands "talking" to each other was delightful...perhaps, as you said, "a soprano and a tenor"..."call and response". And the point about Beethoven loving "surprises", like Haydn.

I find the sparse dynamics fascinating. And the information about urtext is quite informative.

The breaths and sighing in your playing add so much warmth and depth. Thank you!

Brett Gilbert I had the same problem, so I dug a bit deeper to find the source video. You can watch it (with video controls) here: https://bit.ly/3l6MIm5

The actual stream starts at about 2:45

I started a new job! I'm sorry I could not see this LIVE earlier today! I will watch it soon! Also, I now work on Thursdays so I will have to watch those after the LIVE stream, too. My schedule will allow attendance on Tuesdays! YAY!

You spoke of that one section having a sound like a "music box". Quite! :D

Hi! The video has been fixed and you can watch normally now. Also the Starting Soon screen was trimmed to only a few seconds. Enjoy and sorry about the delay!
