New - need help

Hey everyone,
I’m brand new to this platform and Ireally need some guidance.
I’m starting completely from scratch, and to be honest, it all feels a bit overwhelming at the moment.

If anyone has tips on where to begin or how to get started the right way, I’d truly appreciate your advice.

Thank you so much,
Oveem

On the left hand side of the Tonebase page, you should see something labeled "My Level". It has a quiz in there and it will most likely place you in Level One. After assigned to a level, you will see a list of courses, skills, and repertoire at that level.

I think Tonebase is fantastic and it has a wealth of information, but I do not believe that it is the best place to start as an absolute, self-guided beginner. I am also just starting out and I have an in-person teacher, but I supplement with Tonebase. An in-person teacher can really help you understand body mechanics, wrist and hand positions, etc. These basics can be hard to accurately track when learning from a video. You don't want to develop bad habits out the gate and cause yourself pain and injury down the road. Personally, I would seek out an instructor to get you going and use Tonebase as additional companion on your journey.

welcome Oveem! The previous answer will get you started on Tonebase. There is a lot to learn online, but I would strongly encourage you to also get a teacher that you see regularly in person. For me, that’s the only way to keep me practicing toward expectations for the next meeting.

I get what you mean.     I've just been looking at different ones that interest me, but still don't know how to use it effectively.     I just look at the ones I feel most suited to me at the moment and apply what I've learned.    There's no rush.
