Piano practice spaces while traveling
Does anyone have general tips on piano practice facilities while traveling? Do you have any favorites to share?
I鈥檓 going to Recoleta, Buenos Aires soon - so hoping someone has a favorite there 馃檭.

Ask a local church. I use a local church when I鈥檓 at the coast and the vicar loves it because it鈥檚 being used. And my donation goes towards the tuning. I suspect you鈥檒l find a few churches in BA.

There鈥檚 an app for that called Music Traveler. It鈥檚 a startup cofounded by the violinist Aleksey Igudesman.
Otherwise you can sometimes find churches or schools that might let you practice.

i have rented multiple airbnbs with pianos in them which is always my first choice. If you look at airbnb.com rather than using the mobile app, you will find a grand piano search option. I have done that for Athens, Budapest, Rome and Prague. If that isn't possible, I have found that most major cities have practice rooms somewhere near the city center. In London, for example, I practiced in practice rooms at Steinway Hall, Jack Samuels Piano Store, and at a private facility with multiple rooms, all walkable from our Marelybone airbnb. I found a practice facility in Manhattan too. Many times people have suggested contacting a local university, but I have had no luck with those. There is an app for private pianos to rent around the world but i have had no luck with that. Also, people frequently say check with hotel, but the only place that worked out for me was in Berlin, and in LA. Good luck
