Thank you, Linda. I am struggle with Brahms’s piece. I find it very difficult to bring out the melody.

I played all of Brahms op 116 on my grad recital (in the 70's!) and struggled with that too.  Do you have small hands?  That was an issue for me.  About 30 years ago I had a narrow key action made for my Yamaha grand which gave me the ability to comfortably reach a 10th (a huge change).  Suddenly, voicing big chords in the Brahms was no longer an issue.

Linda Gould thank you, this is my first Brahms piece. I found it very challenging. Linda Gould yes I have a small. Wow I didn’t know that Yamaha does make me the keys narrowed, that is fantastic.

I have narrow keys in my Yamaha grand but they were made by David Steinbuhler and retrofitted to my grand.  I would LOVE it if Yamaha would make them too.
