  • I have not been able to engage in this challenge in the way that I expected but I shall upload videos made today of the three pieces that I chose to play.  Last week has been very difficult work-wise - the least said the better.

This challenge has been very useful, indeed.  Firstly, it has prompted me to sort out my pianos.  I had two in the same room - a very small room with a dead acoustic, so the acoustic piano is back where it was supposed to be and the electric is in my [small] music room.  I am not uploading anything on the acoustic as the only recording I did on it has too many hesitations and mistakes.

Secondly, I have started recording myself and intend to do so every month, uploading something every six months - to chart my progress.

Thirdly, I shall turn to sorting out the recording kit, implementing the concepts discussed in Dominics' recent class on audio.

The Mozart consists of three short videos - trying to play a whole movement is not feasible yet.

  • Nature Boy - I have the notes but sometimes what I play is slightly different, which may lead to running out of fingers - the RH pinky is a tell-tale sign!

  • Wild is the Wind.  This and 'Nature Boy' are accompaniments, of course...

The videos are of the first 3 pages of each.

    • Roy James-Pike Hi Roy!

I just noticed that all of your videos are set to "private" I can't view them!

You should set them to "unlisted" so that they can be viewed when you share the link but NOT by searching for them on YouTube or google!

    • Dominic Cheli Thank you Dominic.  I wasn't intending them to be used tonight.  You will have sorted out your running order already, no doubt.

The fourth outcome of this challenge was omitted, which was to sort out how to upload to Youtube!

I'll go into Youtube and sort out at least a couple of them to see if you can see/hear them.  Thanks again!

This and Wild is the Wind need to go faster, which I can do.  They don't feel this slow when I am playing them.  Good outcome of recording them...

The acoustic version of Wild is the Wind wasn't intended... too much searching going on...

Bravo to all of you who performed! I thoroughly enjoyed the spoken and written comments, too!

Congratulations! Thank you, all! Thank you, Dominic!
