Improving your Trills!

I had to work when this session was LIVE, so I am watching it now. I am enjoying it! I appreciate the way you highlighted Mozart and Thalberg on the score, and how they practiced trills. Fine distinction between thinking about trills and the fingers vs. trills and the wrist: rotation. Very interesting! Quite practical! First trill tip is fascinating...inverse way of viewing things! The granularity of this analysis/approach is wonderful!

I hear the "simplicity, refinement and elegance" that you demonstrated in the measured trill. I get that! And now I am seeing the improvisatory trill, and its appropriate application.

I like the way you highlighted this, Dominic: the trill can "invite the orchestra back in".  :D

And, again, the camera angles are great to illustrate your points.

A trill = a "shake". For real!

Are there any special concerns/tips/recommendations for those of us who may be left-handed yet are required (by the score) to trill with the right hand--in my case, the least refined of the two hands?
