Re: What's the most surprising thing you have learned about the piano? I remember being surprised when first learning about knee levers on early pianos, and that there were more ways to control the piano-sound with different stops then there are on modern pianos!

Sort of an “all-round pianist”. I specialized in popular music and jazz in my education, but have focused mostly on classical in later years. I do some occasional arranging and composing.
