I'm a late beginner and I have K300 upright piano. I heard the soft pedal on upright piano is very different from grand ones. It may not be able to create the effect that Dr Leann discussed?

This sounds very interesting. I've never imagined a story when playing a piece. My pieces are short as I'm an early intermediate player. Currently working on Sonatina in G by Beethoven.

@Gail Starr I am only able to practice 10 minutes at a time to avoid injuries on my hands. But I do think it's a good stretch for small hands.

@Johnandrew Slominski Instead of walking, can I use one foot to tap the subdivision? I noticed I slowed down the walk as I get "tired(?)". Maybe not a "tired"issue still a rhythm issue. I'm not sure.
