Bjarne's practice diary
Hi, I've been currently working on
- Schumann - Träumerei
- Mozart - K 545
- Debussy - Arabesque no 1.
I've had a online teacher for the last year, but I am planning on switching back to my former teacher next week. I will need to have a talk with my next teacher before deciding what to do with the pieces I'm practicing on. I want to practice a Bach-piece, and might change Schumann with Bach. Not sure what to do with Mozart, I can play through the second movment, getting some real progress in 1 movment, and just starting to get familiar with 1 page of the last movment.

Here is my Träumeri attempt. Been working on this without a teacher. Not sure yet if I'm going to bring this piece to my new teacher or start on a fresh start with my former teacher and start a new piece

Update, after talking with my new teacher I will be focusing on:
- J.S. Bach BWV 924
- Debussy - Arabesque no 1
If I got time to spare I might start on a Schumann piece from "Album for the young". If so, this piece will be a side project. Will update when I have anything to update. I'm happy I went back to my former teacher and looking foreward to practice the piano.

New update: We decided to leave Arabesque for now, and I'm happy with this decision. The last couple of month I've been working on:
- Intermezzo no. 1 in E minor - Ponche
- waltz Etude - William Gillock - (not sure my teacher wants me to learn the whole piece yet, this is a grind).
My teacher also have given me some little Preludes from Bach to treat as etudes. I was recording with wrong settings in BWV924, but manage to fix the problem before my next recording. I just started to work on BWV 925, this will take some time, it seems much harder. But i really enjoy playing these little preludes and I am planning on memorizing them and get them up to a higher level, especially adding more dynamic in BWV 924.
