I've just finished the Music Theory Basic's Course, any further material recommendations? books, videos...

I really enjoyed the course, and got a grasp of the beauty of the structures presented. Now I am looking for further material to dig in deeper onto the realm of theory

  • I found some of the lessons on scales useful.

I started to watch it again for the 2nd time, and found I was able to understand/grasp some things much better... the sections on Modes in particular.  Will probably watch it again several more times. Sometimes it takes me a while.... :)

Steve Yee This is also my second time, I watched it months ago but didn't have a piano to play on it, now that I have one I've certainly enjoyed it more. Don't worry much about it: get focused and enjoy the process

I highly recommend Benjamin Grow鈥檚 3 courses on Bach鈥檚 Subjects. It is mainly about Ear Training and Solf猫ge and is great for all levels.
Adam Golka鈥檚 course is particularly cool as well. Tom Mackey

Just found your reference link. This is a fantastic reference . I like reading it all in one go . Ben鈥檚 course went through the major scale degrees .. ( Lydian , Loochrian , Mixolydian ..) but reading it one place and having a reference to look up is great . Thanks for the link ..

  • Excellent course. I must admit that I never really learned the theoretical basics thoroughly because I found them really boring, but I give myself 3 months to learn them and then forget them.馃槀
