"The Building Blocks of Tonal Music (Part I): Diatonic Harmony" with Professor Aziz

Tonality is a system of relationships, a language that fuses the dimensions of harmony and counterpoint. In my talk, I summarize the basics and nuances of diatonic harmony, considering the crucial building blocks that form the grammar of a musical phrase. Through several musical examples and piano demonstrations, I illustrate how knowledge of these theoretical patterns can benefit the performer and listener.
