  • Here is a little bonus video. It's not within the holiday theme, but it's one of my own pieces that I worked on this week. I do enjoy composing, so wanted to share that with you. I can tell you that I have a project going on with making a piano-album containing 18 pieces.
I also want to say that I've been loving it here on Tonebase community and all the great live sessions with Dominic! It's been a truly wonderful year, and I always look forward to everything that's happening here! It's been a great journey..😅 You guys inspire me! Lots of love, and have a great holiday everyone!

Sindre Skarelven Very soothing melody, like the types of rhythmic patterns being introduce here and there. Would like to ask your permission as if I could use few bars of your melody, as would like to continue from there. Happy composing and happy festive seasons to you and family.

    • Juan Carlos Olite Juan Carlos Olite thank you so  much! I wish I didn’t have so many clinkers in there but I needed a little more time with it. By the way, I used the Shure MV88 this time. What a splendid little gadget it is! It is definitely more clear than just the iPad mic. The sound of my page turn is crystal clear. Ha! But seriously, I am impressed with the difference and it is so easy to use.

    • Brett Gilbert thank you Brett! I am looking forward to more fun in the year ahead as well. I really enjoy the community and the challenges so much. Thank you again for steering me to the video about recording. I took the idea from it to get the ShureMV88 mic which is so easy to use and it makes a difference! Now I just need to get my poor piano tuned - I haven’t tuned it since the pandemic. The longest it’s ever gone without a tuning! Happy holidays to you! 🎉

    • Sindre Skarelven thank you Sindre! Yes, I was drawn to learn to play it after checking out some of Dominic’s suggestions for the challenge. I imagined the main theme was cozy by the fire, the little run that goes up then down I pictured looking out the window and a gust of wind blows dry snowflakes across the window, the chromatic section? Hm no story for that part yet. Some little bit of drama occurs…

  •  Here are my pieces: Silent Night, and the Beethoven op. 111 Arietta, which isn't exactly traditional, but it seems "Christmasey". https://youtu.be/7a3pAh3nkCQ
