Hi, am here to submit this video. After hours of practicing, at last manage to get it recorded and share it here. Decided to learn this Impromptu D.899 No.1. Ever since am aware of this piece, yet, I was unable to learnt it. Not sure why. But, one thing for sure, among the 4 pieces of D.899, this has become my number one likes. Not sure it's due to my age or not. I starts to feel the piece more and more. I felt the sadness, but also some lovely soothing melody in between. Still has lots of techniques needs to be polished and corrected. Nevertheless, still hope that you guys enjoy this little piece which I would like to share this time.

Thanks again to Tonebase and Dominic for having this session.

Oh, this huge solitude and longing in these phrases, well captured! Your dedication pays off! I enjoyed this very much. And wow, more than 9 minutes. For me keeping my consentration for 2 minutes already feels too much! Those calm hand movements are great to watch, too!

Here is my wk 4 video. Very raw- a lot of work left to do but will take a few weeks to fix, not days 😊.  Wanted to post while I had time today to record.

A big thank you to TB and Dominic for this Schubert challenge. I wouldn’t have tried out this MM otherwise. It’s going on my favorites of all time list and I will keep working on it. Started a few others as well!

Vidhya Bashyam Ahhhhh....my favorite!  Thank you for inspiring me to try to learn this one also.  I love your phrasing and the way you "breathe" each of the dotted notes so clearly.  Also, great attention to all the dynamic shifts!

Vidhya Bashyam Beautiful playing, Vidhya. I particularly appreciated the softness of the LH while the RH soared above in certain sections.

Here is my week 4 video of Kupelwieser Waltz.  I think it is a tad improved though still far from performance quality.  I will continue to work on the entire piece and hopefully perform later this fall.  Thanks for listening.
