Concert / online program recommendations

Hi Friends!! Is anyone out and about town, listening to concerts in person or online? I'm always trying to learn about new artists and new pieces. Does anyone have any recommendations for events in April? Thanks!! -Hilda

I'm not in NYC much these days, but I sent my mom and her friends some tix to hear Jeremy Siskind at Carnegie last night and they loved hearing him!  Maybe he's still in town?

Jeremy Denk has a new book coming out in a few days, based on his wonderful New Yorker article about his piano teachers and piano lessons while growing up. As part of this, heā€™s doing a number of recital-book readings ā€” both in person and online. Thereā€™s a virtual one organized by his publisher Random House this week, and a live + virtual one at the 92Y in NY next week.

Incidentally, the New Yorker piece is a fantastic read ā€” itā€™s called ā€œEvery Good Boy Does Fine: A Life in Piano Lessonsā€, by Jeremy Denk. I highly recommend it!

Tammy I just read Jeremy's book and he actually studied with one of my teachers AND went to the same music camp I attended!  Small world, huh?  (Except I had a non-musical career, and I am only just now finding time to play piano again now that I've retired!)
