ABOUT TONEBASE COMMUNITY CONCERTS:

These events are NOT live-streamed OR recorded, but are private zoom meetings where tonebase members can share their hard work and perform for each other!

These concerts can be played LIVE, or if you can't attend, you can submit a recording!

This is a GENEROUS and SUPPORTIVE space.

Performing is one of the best ways to push yourself, and really evaluate the work/progress you have made!

Repertoire is open to any piece!

Memorization is NOT required.

You can play select movements, or even sections of pieces! No need to perform a complete work!

Playing the piano is fun, but sharing your music with others is one of life's great joys. Join in on the fun and cheer each other on!

FOR OPTIMIZING YOUR ZOOM SETTINGS PLEASE SEE THE SHORT VIDEOS BELOW!

Because we use zoom for these concerts, it is important to have the best audio and visual settings available!

  • My name is Richard Bosworth. As to my selection/s for the February 14 event, I am aiming for something short and sweet (not longer than 10 minutes) like the Gounod Meditation on the First Prelude of JS Bach ("Ave Maria"), Gryaznov arrangement of the Borodin Nocturno from String Quartet No. 2, Liszt Liebestraum No. 3, Rachmaninov Prelude Op. 32, No. 10 in B Minor, or 2 of my own arrangements of Ode to Joy (Lullaby) and the Navy Hymn (4-voice fugue). I'll decide for certain about a week before.

    • Dr. Richard Bosworth Hi! Unfortunately, I have had some serious health issues and there is a barrage of medical appointments this week. I wouldn’t even have time to make a video to submit. Let me know when there are more events like this. Richard PS I wrote my regrets last week.

Dominic Cheli Hi Dominic - I decided to make a video instead of playing live - probably less errors! Here is the link:

I will be attending to listen to everyone else!

      Thanks!

  • Hi, I'm Emma Wallace, and I'd like to play! Probably either Bach Prelude and Fugue in B-flat minor bk 1, or Rachmaninoff Prelude Op.3 No.2, or...Chopin Etude Op.10 No.2 if I can have it ready in time.

I'll have to leave by 3pm.

If there is still room, my intention would be to  play Bach's Sarabande from Partita 1 in B flat. Short and sweet.

Dominic Cheli  I'll be there. I've been able to schedule in the hour from 2-3. What a great opportunity to 'push myself'. Thank you.

Today is Dec 13. As I am landing in Tonebase after para shuting for sometime, I thought the concert was today. I was ready to listen and enjoy your playing!

Well, I will consider playing, but I want to be very sure of myself before. I'm practicing Bach's Bourre from English Suite No 2, a piece new to me and Schubert's third movement from Son. D664. The Schubert I've played before, I need a little time to make up my mind.

Thanks to Tonebase fro the oportunity!

My name is Michael Bruce and I would love to play Chopin Waltz in C# minor 64 no 2. And if I can and have time 64 no 1 as well. I responded to a event already, and I wasn't sure how to submit, but this sounds live. That is even better. If you allow me to play I can do 1 or both of these.

  • I don’t have my schedule yet for this day, but I hope to be able to participate in the concert and play Chopin’s Eb Major Nocturne (op. 9 no. 2). I’ll confirm my availability closer to the date.

    • Yes, I can participate! I have a class that ends at 11am PT, so I probably shouldn’t be placed near the beginning of the line-up.
