Brahms Op. 118 No. 2 by Seymour bernstein—Dol. vs Dolce

A very educational and detailed masterclass! I’ve never thought anyone could include this much information in one short intermezzo. Absolutely loving it!

Mr. Bernstein mentioned that there might be a misprinting from measure 76-80 because there is dol. and then dolce, and he thinks the editor printed dolce twice by accident. I am just wondering if it’s possible the first dol. actually means dolente?? Please come and share your thoughts.
