Bach and other challenges
Hi,
My name is Andrea and here are my projects: I started learning the Goldberg Variations a month ago, went through all of them superficially and now want to focus on individual variations.
I also want to polish a few of the Chopin Mazurkas, Waltzes and Nocturnes to get them performance ready, as well as Mozart Rondo a minor KV 511 and some Scarlatti Sonatas (K 27, K 208, K 443). In spring I am planning to attend a masterclass playing the Schubert f-minor Fantasie with a friend. There is still a lot to practice on that one,
but it is such a gorgeous piece!
I never ever performed as a soloist on the piano, even the thought of it makes me nervous, so my biggest challenge is to overcome this problem.
Thanks for providing this opportunity.

Looking forward to hear you play, and great that you are planning on submitting the Schubert Fantasia for masterclass! I love that piece, and hope to play it one day.
Also, just started playing the Goldberg variations. Will be nice to follow your progress :)

What a lot of really great music you have on the go!

What a wonderful list! How fantastic you are doing the Schubert duet! That is on my list of top pieces I want to learn someday. So gorgeous.

OK, I JUST started the Goldberg today! I don't think I'll be able to attend the concert, so I'll have a longer timeline to learn it.

Hi Andrea,
This sounds like such a splendid list of pieces. It's very exciting to know you're going to play the Schubert f-minor Fantasy with your friend later this spring. I hope we'll have the pleasure of hearing it on tonebase, too. Have you played together before? What masterclass will you play it in?
It's a treat to support you through your first solo performance of any one of these wonderful pieces. We're all rooting for you!
